While the typically late medieval style of the tower and window frames leads us to date
the first construction of the wing overlooking the Cardo Maximus of the square city to the 15th century on pre-existing foundations, the second layer of plaster in the hall sheds light on a major renovation of the building, which is difficult to date with certainty.
A curious discovery made during restoration work in 2001 is a Roman brick inscribed dry, presumably in the medieval period, with three concentric squares connected by four perpendicular lines at the midpoints of the sides. Inside the center are three characters resembling the letters “AB” followed by a cross.
